Hello and welcome to High Green Court, Ohana Tanning!
We’re very excited for the anticipated opening of your shop, but in the meantime, tell us a little about yourselves!
We are a family run business, mom and two daughters, which is where the name Ohana came from, it means family in Hawaiian.
-Can you tell us a little bit about the services you provide?
We have 2 lie down Ergoline sunbeds and 2 Tanzi Opal Fitness stand up sunbeds, one with a vibra plate so you can tan and tone at the same time.
We also do Crazy Angel spray tans.
We sell tan accelerators to help the tanning process.
-For anyone who has never had a tanning experience before what can you tell us about the process from when a client arrives?
When a client arrives, we ask them to fill out a form telling us their skin type, allergies and any medical conditions.
We explain the benefits of using a cream and offer them a selection of creams they can buy if they wish.
We explain about the importance of wearing eye protection.
We will show them into the cubicle and show them how the bed works and then leave them to relax.
When they come off the sunbeds, there are complimentary wipes and deodorants.
-We don’t get very much sun here in cannock, what spray tan options are available for those that would like an instant glow for a special event?
Crazy Angel spray tan offers clients different depths of tan. Great for an instant tan for a special occasion. We offer group bookings too.
-What should customers do to prepare for their tanning experience?
Before customers start the tanning process, we would recommend exfoliating and moisturising, especially any hard skin areas.
-I had heard that there are many benefits to sunbeds, from treating skin conditions, increase in vitamin D and treating symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder, is this true?
Uv exposure stimulates vitamin D production. This is essential for good bone health and can improve your mood, helping stem off conditions such as seasonal affective disorder, it can also improve the appearance of skin conditions, such as psoriasis.
Some days you just have to create your own sunshine.
Thank you so much Ohana Tanning for taking the time to answer these questions and allowing us to get to know the tanning process a little better!
